Prairie Valley Comm School District Education: 534 students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 534 students enrolled in Prairie Valley Comm School District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.7% less than the previous year, according to the Iowa Department of Education.

Of all students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 50.6% were girls, and 49.4% were boys.

Data also shows that most of the students were white, representing 93.4% of the Prairie Valley Comm School District's total enrollment.

Prairie Valley Comm School District roughly covers two schools within Webster County and has a main office in Gowrie.Public school enrollment in Iowa remained relatively stable in the 2024-25 school year, with 480,665 students, a slight decrease of 0.63% compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, enrollment in accredited nonpublic schools grew by nearly 10%, reaching 39,356 students, up from 36,195. This increase was partially driven by the Students First Education Savings (ESA) program, with 27,866 students utilizing ESAs at nonpublic schools.
