Beginning today, Wednesday, August 24, 2022, and lasting until the work is completed, Public Works crews will be shutting down N 20th St between 4th Ave N and 6th Ave N as well as 5th Ave N between N 20th St and N 22nd St for water main valve replacements.
These areas will be closed to all but local residential traffic during normal working hours. They will be reopened each afternoon once work has ended for the day. 6th Ave N will remain open. Detours will be set up around the work area.
Customers in and around the work area will be without water starting at 6:00 am until as late as 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022, to replace the water main valves. Door tags are being distributed to affected households this morning.
This work was initially scheduled to begin on August 15, 2022.
