Oakland Cemetery Open House

The Oakland Cemetery in Denison is planning an open house from 1 to 3 pm on May 28th at the Oakland chapel. The Oakland Cemetery board would like public input and suggestions on items such as a new main entrance into the cemetery, a columbarium wall for cremations, and a veteran's memorial section or any other ideas. There will be a flag raising ceremony with Honor Guard provided by VFW and American Legion at 1pm.
Also the Crawford County Historical Society with the help of Boy and Girl Scouts will be placing 25 American flags near the chapel in honor of our veterans. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information go to www.oaklandcemeteryofdenison.com
