December 16 Press Release from Sheriff Luke Fleener

Announcement

Webster County - IA recently issued the following announcement.

As of Thursday December 16, 2021, multiple electrical crews are working in and around Webster County to try and restore power to residents without power as quickly as possible. During the Wednesday night storms, the Webster County Sheriff’s Office and other local law enforcement officers responded to numerous reports of power lines down crossing roadways, damage to structures and debris on numerous roadways. Our local Emergency Management Director is currently assessing the local damage to determine if any tornado activity took place in Webster County.

Please do not drive over down power lines, as these lines could still be electrified and extremely dangerous. Do not drive around any barricades or vehicles that have closed roadways due to down power lines or debris.

As of Thursday December 16th, no major injuries have been reported to the Webster County Sheriff’s Office. If you need assistance or have questions please contact our office at 515-573-1410.

Please be patient.

Luke M. Fleener
