Schaefer making most of time at Iowa Central

Icccccc

Iowa Central Community College recently issued the following announcement.

A native of Onslow, Iowa, Kristin Schaefer keeps herself busy while working towards her degree at Iowa Central.

Schaefer, in her second season with the Iowa Central women’s basketball program, is involved in three different organizations on the Fort Dodge campus.

She holds key roles within the Professional Agriculture Students (PAS), the Accounting/Business Club and Phi Theta Kappa.

“Within the PAS organization I currently hold the role for the Iowa Central Chapter as President and for the State PAS Organization I hold the role of Vice President focused on social media,” Schaefer said. “For the Accounting/Business Club, I am a member. I also hold the role of President for Phi Theta Kappa.”

Schaefer’s decision to attend Iowa Central and join these clubs comes from her passion.

“I am involved in PAS to help advocate for agriculture,” she said, “and to be able to develop my leadership skills while also connecting with industry representatives to bring in to our Iowa Central chapter.”

The busy schedule has allowed Schaefer to really embrace her time at Iowa Central.

“What makes being part of these organizations is that I get to meet different people,” she said. “People that I would not have met if I was not involved in those organizations.”
