City of Humboldt issued the following announcement on November 17.
After a year's hiatus, Kiwanis Christmasland, a free attraction put on by the Humboldt-Dakota City Noon Kiwanis Club, will be open for visitors again in 2021. Come renew a family tradition or start a new one by visiting Kiwanis Christmasland in Humboldt. It's the white building directly South of Humboldt City Hall on 1st Ave South.
Because of the pandemic and Santa's bust schedule, the attraction is scaling back open hours this holiday season, focusing on weekends for the first three weeks of the season.
Mask wearing is strongly encouraged.
Christmasland will be open the following dates and hours this year:
Friday, Nov 26 - 6:30 to 8:80 PM
Saturday, Nov 27 - 2:30 to 4:30 PM & 6:30 to 8:30 PM
Sunday, Nov 28 - 2:30 to 4:30 PM

The Humboldt-Dakota City Noon Kiwanis wants people to enjoy the attraction in a safe setting and wants to protect the public from any and all communicable diseases. If you or a member of your family is sick, please refrain from attending until you are well.
The Noon Kiwanis reserves the right to limit the number of visitors at any one time. The recommended maximum is 45 people. Visitors are encouraged to wait in their cars until there are no lines outside the building.
Since large crowds are expected, parents are asked to please be patient in getting their child to see Santa Claus.
Christmasland will be open by arrangement for group tours. Call Dave Lee at (515)-890-0116 to schedule a day and time. All school groups, nursing homes, group homes, church groups, businesses and civic organizations are welcome.
