City of Webster City issued the following announcement on August 06.
The new open-air shelter house at West Twin Park in Webster City is nearing completion. Volunteer crews helped assemble the shelter from a kit, under the supervision of Mayor John Hawkins who headed up the project. Habhab Construction installed the concrete work and plumbing for the structure.
The shelter features an area for picnic tables, roll-up concession/serving windows, and restrooms. The project was one of several park improvements done throughout the community this summer, including, new playground equipment at East Twin Park and Nokomis Park, an updated shelter at Brewer Creek Park and a new basketball court at Wehrheim Park.
