Wright County, Iowa, is putting measures in place to be sure any potential COVID-19 hotspots don't get the chance to spread.
County officials told KCCI that dozens of coronavirus cases are being discovered throughout the county, but people aren't displaying any symptoms. To help prevent the spread of the virus from these people, surveillance equipment is being used to contact trace, with businesses being the hotspots.
While the county may be showing good signs, the coronavirus can spread very quickly and County epidemiologist Sandy McGrath wants to make sure the situation doesn't worsen, according to KCCI.
"We're doing a lot of contact tracing," McGrath told KCCI. "We know it's gonna happen, just because it's here. We don't know a lot about it, but our best thing is just to stay ahead of it."
McGrath told KCCI county residents have been containing the spread and should continue to exercise safety measures and precautions.
