In a Webster County Supervisors’ meeting March 3, approval was granted for bridge placement projects, traffic detours for Dayton's annual Labor Day Parade and public meeting hearings were set for the next year’s Secondary Road budget as well as correctional officer pay raise approvals for selected Webster County Jail officers.
The public hearing is slated for March 31 and will discuss the plans for the secondary road budget for the fiscal year 2021 as well as the five-year construction program.
Bidding for the approved bridge replacement projects is scheduled for 10:30 a.m and will include 150th Street, 140th Street, 340th Street, 260th Street and Hayes Avenue bridge projects. These bridge projects will be grouped into three with two contractors, County Engineer Jamie Johll said in the meeting..
For the detours for Dayton’s annual Labor Day Parade Supervisors approved the closure of Iowa Highway 175 extension from Sixth Avenue and Northwest to Oak Park Road on Sept. 7 from 9:10 to 11:30 a.m.
